Combinatorial algebraic approach for modified second-generation time-delay interferometry

We generalize the combinatorial algebraic approach first proposed by Dhurandhar et al. to construct various classes of modified second-generation time-delay interferometry (TDI) solutions. The main idea behind original algorithm is enumerate, in a given order, specific type commutator between two monomials defined products particular time-displacement operators. On one hand, enumeration process can be implemented using properties commutative ring and relevant equation for TDI solution. other these commutators are shown vanish if we only keep up first-order contributions regarding rate change armlengths. In words, each furnishes valid solution pertaining combinations. this work, Dhurandhar's algorithm, which involved operators was primarily applied Michelson-type solutions, extended introducing time-advance ones then utilized seek combinations Beacon, Relay, Monitor, Sagnac, fully symmetric Sagnac types. discuss relation present scheme's solutions those obtained geometric approach, well-known method exhaustion virtual optical paths. particular, report results on novel Sagnac-inspired that cannot straightforwardly algorithm. average response functions, floor noise power spectral densities, sensitivity functions evaluated
